Mark Kilroy Foundation ~ Helen Kilroy Recognized by State Rep. Greg Bonnen for her Years of Community Service

(Greg Bonnen's resolution (HR 1287) honoring Helen begins at 34:00 minutes into the video of the legislative session)
Representative Greg Bonnen (Texas State Rep, Dist. 24) recalls the murder of Mark Kilroy in 1989, and recognizes Helen Kilroy and family, whom in spite of their tragedy, created a foundation to help thousands of children and families in and around Santa Fe and Hitchcock Texas.
Helen is so deserving of this prestigious recognition from the Texas Legislature. She was a selfless person who was and is still an inspiration to many. For over 20 years, she and her husband Jim Kilroy and son, Keith Kilroy, have been instrumental in helping the communities of Santa Fe and Hitchcock, Texas by providing counseling, outreach and educational programs.

The Mark Kilroy Foundation continues to offer counseling services for children and youth in crisis and a free-of-charge S.A.F.E. Summer Program for children and youth. For videos of this program that has existed since 1995, please visit youtube site ~ "Mark Kilroy S.A.F.E. Summer Program" ~

Thank you, Representative Greg Bonnen, for this wonderful proclamation of Helen's service.
